Default Need help

I am planning on going to Blue Ridge, Ga as soon as I can get some direction on how to avoid Atlanta (if it is at all possible). Normally my husband would drive, but I lost him very suddenly. I know what to do coming from Florida until I hit Atlanta. On the map I see 285 does that avoid Atlanta? I can travel any day and try to go through at the best times, can anyone help me?

Others may have alternative routes but I think if you are driving north from FL you will be on I75 and you continue north on I75 and then take I575.

Here's a link>>>
Map and directions to Fannin County, Georgia

I285 circles the city and that might not be what you need to do.

If you go to Google Maps and click on "Get Directions" and input your starting point (or just starting city) and your destination, it will show you the quickest route. Then, you can click on the route and pull it to one side or another and it will click to alternate routes. It will show you how to go straight through Atlanta, take the perimeter expressway, or miss Atlanta all together on either side while also showing you the estimated trip time.

Good luck!

Unless you're arriving during rush hour, staying on 75 straight through Atlanta up to 575 is going to be your fastest route. Taking 285 will add about 10 miles to the trip, and isn't likely to save you any time or congestion.
