Black College Football HOF headed to Atlanta
10:42 am October 6, 2009, by Leo Willingham
The Black College Football Hall of Fame is headed to Atlanta.
Former Grambling University and NFL quarterbacks James ‘Shack’ Harris and Doug Williams will announce the establishment of the Black College Hall of Fame Friday at a press conference in Atlanta. The Hall will honor the greatest football players and coaches at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
The Inaugural Enshrinement Ceremony will be held in Atlanta in February, in conjunction with Black History Month. The announcement comes two weeks after the NCAA decided to move the College Football Hall of Fame from South Bend, Ind. to Atlanta.
