The fact is that the Georgia Music Hall of Fame is not really doing that well in Macon. It never ever should have been put in Macon. I don't know who had that lame brained idea.
I think that it should be moved to Atlanta- either downtown. Midtown or over by the other attractions by the GWCC. And it should be given more space- at least 3 times what it has where it is.
My passion for this is that, of all the exports that the state of Georgia has given the world, our musical history is really among the best of any state in the USA. The world knew us long before Hartsfield-Jackson and the 1996 Olympics by the music we produced. Our history of gospel, country, blues, rock, R&B and hip hop is unsurpassed by any other state I can think of (although Memphis or Nashville might argue). It is something we should show the world. But the world does not go to Macon. It comes here to Atlanta.

It's probably in Macon because Macon has more history music-wise than Atlanta. Also, Atlanta can't - and shouldn't - have everything. I'd be more in favor of high speed rail to other parts of Ga from Atlanta than trying to make Atlanta the only place in the state worth visiting.
