Default Work is transfering me to Stone Mountain
I am moving to Georgia for a job in Stone Mountain. I am looking for a good area to live in the area so I can commute to work and not worry about my family & home. Does anyone know of a good freindly safe town? I don't want to live in a combat zone and have to carry a gun everywhere (which I do anyway) and have to use it for family defence. Any help would be appreciated.

There was a similar post last week and several people recommended Snellville.

Check out the Smoke Rise neighborhood in Stone Mountain and the Mountain Park neighborhood in Stone Mountain/Lilburn.

If you want to provide specifics about want you want as far as commute times, schools and crime/safety, I can give you more options.

Good advice...if someone is going to be working in Stone Moutain, I would recommend living in Stong Mountain (or at least very near). If someone is going to be working in Decatur, I would recommend living in Decatur (or at least very near). There is no need to commute if you don't have to.

Southland and Greenridge are nice neighborhoods located in Stone Mountain
