Didn't think so.

I haven't seen a Confederate Flag in YEARS...but I don't go around looking for them either. There is a small minority of people all over the U.S. that loves to display this and similar other symbols of hate - that doesn't make the entire U.S. a bad place. A few backwards people don't define an entire area...but most of us are mature enough to understand things like this.

Exactly. I just saw them in the rural areas North of Grand Rapids. I have also seen them in the San Fernado Valley and just North of Seattle.
I honestly can't recall the last time I saw one here that wasn't on TV.

Yes,the flag sucked. But a joke is not having people in positions of power that do not represent its populace.Thats not a funny joke. Can you name many other places where this occurs on the level of THIS PLACE?

Great post!
Let's also forget that the last five mayors of Atlanta have been all ethnic minorities. That's a span of 40 years! No other major city in this country has that track record. Not so bad for city with so much racial hatred

Oh really D.C. must not count as a major city?? Last five mayors of DC were all black! Another product of the ATLANTA PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
Walter Washington
Marion Barry
Sharon Pratt Kelly (First African American Women to serve as Mayor of a american major city)
Anthony Williams
Adrian Fenty

Walter Washington was APPOINTED before D.C. had home rule. You fail, again.
And I wouldn't be calling out anyone's schooling. You have obvious shortcomings in that area.
Name another majority black major City that elected an out white lesbian as City Council President.
Oh wait, you can't.
