Default Moving to Cumming- need a teaching job/ daycare help

I am moving to Cumming next July. I will be needing FT/ PT daycare for my 2 year old and a elementary school teaching job, preferably PT. I have 3 other kids who will be attending Mashburn Elementary. Of course ideally I would like to work there and find a daycare very close. Anyone here have any connections to Mashburn or know of a daycare right in the area that they could recommend? I am woking with the Forsythe County School District to get all my information in and of course would take a job at any school.
TIA!

Good luck. Teaching jobs are extremely scarce, and finding something part-time will likely be even more difficult than finding something full-time.

Most school systems (all the big ones) did away with part time positions.

Education cuts were bad this year, we are expecting far worse next year. Teacher layoffs may be a possibility (most Metro Atlanta systems avoided layoffs this year, that may be harder to do next year.) Even if the recession is over, the most optimistic economist in GA are not predicting positive funding changes for the schools until at least 2011 at the earliest.

Have you already purchased a home? If not, I recommend that you find a job first (presuming you need the income) and then figure out where you will live. Teaching jobs are very scarce, especially at the elementary level, and "beggers can't be choosers."

If Cumming is where you will be, you will need to figure out which school systems are within a reasonable drive and apply with those as well.
