People try to X Miami out by saying its not really the south so they can make Atlanta seem more then what it is or give it the title KING OF THE SOUTH. But that's Atlanta for you for you trying to be something its not!!
I've lived in both. It's pretty clear to me which one deserves the crown.

Even I know that Atlanta is better than Miami, and that's saying a lot. Literally 95% of the population of Miami wouldn't make it through the door in the majority of working class America... and I'm not just talking about language barriers I'm also talking about percentage of people with degrees and numbers of higher institutions in both cities, Atlanta wins hands down.

So what your pretty much saying is foreigners are under educated people not capable of making it in working class america??? A typical southern comment!

I was just in Miami and I saw alot of foreign businessmen driving Exotics such as Rolls Royce's, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and Aston Martins.

They also had their yachts docked behind their multimillion dollars homes. Maybe I'm missing something

If you cared enough to read through some of the Atlanta threads, you would see that this person's comments are anything but typical. What IS typical is that someone like you would call it typical.

Same here...I lived in Miami for a short period of time, and it was certainly not the King of anything.

Umm, I thought I was talking about Miami? Sounds like your reading ability is clouded by your judgment. Miami's population is undereducated overall I think. I could care less where they came from. Those few rich/successful people were probably educated and gained their wealth elsewhere. Besides, If you want to be around a bunch of old rich men in porches be my guest, but no thanks for me... hell no. Yachts and porches get REAL old fast, but that's just me.

Whatever people in Atlanta claim to want this "big city" but don't have any idea what a big city is?? I am tired of running into people from Georgia that down foreigners and talk and treat them like the are less of a human being.

When the people in Atlanta/Georgia and the GOOD OLE' boy network they have going on down here can learn to start thinking like normal people maybe then this place will taken seriously by the rest of the world!

Why don't you just give it up? You have obviously made a serious mistake moving here. Let us help you find a good realtor. I can guarantee you there is someone to take your place in Alpharetta.

I truly feel sorry for your new neighbors.

What "people" are you talking about? It sounds like you're judging everyone in Atlanta from the experiences you've had in your own little world.
