I hope so, they have to sort out this issue. My company looked at moving to the new tower at the corner of PT Dunwoody and PT, Great building but until they sort out the foot traffic safety I think it will struggle especially the apartments at 500k plus.

I mean whats the point of buying a lovely apartment in walking distance to Phipps and all of Buckhead if its so dangerous to cross the road you have to drive anyway. You might as well save some money and live a few miles up the street.

The bridge between the Ritz and Phipps is a much better way to do it, but it's lacking in pedestrian access from Peachtree. A simple stairway and sign would do lots.

I think a smartly-designed vehicle tunnel on Peachtree could help a lot. Through traffic goes down into a tunnel under the intersection, while pedestrians, Lenox Rd traffic, and people turning on to/off of Peachtree stay at street level. That takes a big chunk of traffic away from the intersection, reduces congestion, and makes a larger share of the cars traveling through the intersection low-speed cars trying to turn.

I'm not really a fan of pedestrian overpass/underpasses. For every one I've seen that's successful, there are a dozen unused concrete monoliths or uninviting concrete holes.

Merlin Entertainment is also opening their Sea Life concept by the Legoland in the Dallas area. There is a Rainforest cafe and other attractions in that area. Its in the suburbs between Dallas and Fort Worth.

I had read this past year Legoland was opening Between Tampa and Orlando in the Lakeland area. Maybe that plan fell thru and they decided on Ga as their Southeast location. If not I didn't know the company built within a few hundred miles of thier attractions.

They are still opening in Florida, but they are opening an actual amusement park like the Legoland in California. These "Discovery Centers" aren't really "amusement parks" but a glorified Lego store with some indoor attractions.

Also, there was an article in the Business Chronicle that mentioned Phipps is now going to focus on more kid retailers. Does anyone subscribe to the Chronicle and able to read the whole article? Did it mention any stores?
