What Is The BEST Paid Christmas Display & Activity?
OK, you have your family and you can only afford to choose one of the paid Christmas displays to see. What is your choice and why?

We've done Lake Lanier and Calloway. We enjoyed Calloway the best. It cost a lot more- we spent the weekend. so there were a few meals and of course lodging. Along with the road trip there and back. I liked the fact that I was actually able to see everything (didn't have to keep my eyes on the road driving) and it was really cool (you ride in open wagons), that helps gets you in that Xmas mood.

Life University in Cobb Co.
We've enjoyed the drive-through light display at Life University for a couple of years. It costs about $8-10 per car (or less) and you drive through winding roads with huge animated light displays, some going across the road. There is a spot where you can stop and the kids can see Santa, have hot chocolate and look at the cute "store window" type displays. It's a fun evening for the kids, warm in the car, and cost effective. I enjoyed it a lot more than Stone Mountain and it's much less expensive than Lanier Islands.

I am not familiar with the concept of "paid" displays. Would love to hear details.

I believe the notion of paid displays is referring to taking a paid "tour" of Christmas lights.
I would recommend Calloway Gardens too. It was a fun weekend to see the gardens and the light show. Be sure to make reservations for the light show. I am sure that they would offer a package for lodging too. It was especially nice as no one had to drive and you could just sit back and enjoy the lights.
