Default Neighborhoods to store boat in driveway

We are relocating to GA and like the Cumming and Buford areas. Are there any neighborhoods that let you store a boat in the driveway? Are most HOA's really strict?

Most HOA's will only allow boat storage if it's in the side or rear yard, and completely screened from view from the street. If you get into some of the older and/or more rural areas without HOA's, you can basically do anything you want. The thing to remember is, your neighbors can also do whatever they want, and that's how you end up with cars up on blocks in the front yard, two dozen lawnmowers piled up on the side of the house, etc.

Thanks for the info BobKovacs. We live in IL right now and can have our boat on the side of the house as long as we have asphalt underneath it. We don't like the idea of having to pay to store our boat somewhere, but it looks like we may have to do that.
