People are jealous of Atlanta, hence the bashing

I think it's because this city is so over hyped in certain circles that it really can't possibly live up to that hype. Personally, I find Atlanta to be an alright city. I'm no longer thrilled about living here like i was in maybe the first few months after I moved here. In other words, it's nothing special in my opinion. It's a decent place to settle down and raise a family I suppose but I find it to be terribly boring at times as a single guy and it's not like I'm a person who craves extreme experiences. I can be entertained by walking through a lively neighborhood or along a river bank. There's something that this city lacks that it's hard to put a finger on. Maybe a certain sort of liveliness.

Because they have nothing else to do. When the city doesnt live to the hype they thought it was going to be then thats when you see the bashing also the main Bashing comes from us not being built up like NYC and all the other northeast cities. Atlanta has certainly lived up to its hype for me. I wouldnt wanna be anywhere else. Dreams have come true for some in Atlanta, and for some it hasnt.
