I have lived in the Clarendon area for the last few years and i like it a lot. Walkable/bike area. Close to D.C., so great night life. Parks to choose from. I am a single straight man in my 30's. I can go $600 to $1200 monthly. I will be working between the World of Coca-cola and The Underground. Any hood suggestions for me.

Perfect suggestion for you:

Decatur. (The City of Decatur...within the city limits!)

I was in Arlington for a conference...to me, Decatur is like a smaller Arlington.

I have a better one... Midtown. It's walking distance to downtown... ultra urban and has strong nightlife for the young professional. It is the most walkable area in the city, and I think the most dense but it will push you into that 1000 area at most. That is if you don't mind living in a condo. I don't think there are many townhomes in Midtown. Decatur is a steal as far as prices, but why live 15-20 minutes away when you can live 3 minutes away? With what your asking you can live pretty much anywhere in Atlanta...

Midtown is great as well--

I suggest Decatur because it is more similar to Arlington than Midtown is.

Midtown is more similar to certain neighborhoods inside the District (DC).
