This poster completely disregarded what some consider to be the "best" areas of Atlanta, namely: Decatur, Emory, VaHi, Toco Hills/Briarcliff/Oak Grove, Grant Park, etc. These areas feature bungalows, cottages, ranches, traditional two story-home neighborhoods and so much more. The character and charm of these neighborhoods far exceeds those of the outer suburbs, and adding in the progressive people, restaurants and cultural aminities, I conside this the "best" of Atlanta. There's wayyyy more to Atlanta intown than Buckhead.

If you are from the Bay Area, you may feel very comfortable in the neighborhoods mentioned above.
Could not have said it better.

This is a 5 year old thread. I wish there was a way to lock old threads.

Frankly, I think he made a great choice. Suwanee is as good as it gets in Gwinnett County.

I usually catch that, but not this time. The problem is that it digs up information that may no longer be accurate or relevant.

Hello Everyone,
Can you give us recommendations for great builders in Atlanta. We are looking for one who does great work on putting up a new home and is fairly priced. Also hoping that the work will not get dragged out for an unreasonable amount of time.

Do you also have a great contractor for renovations?
Thank you

Please start your own thread on this topic instead of hijacking the OP's original topic. You'll get more responses that way, especially since this is a very old thread.
