Does Atlanta have a rush of energy like major metropolitan cities?

To a certain degree but to me personally I like Atlanta better than Chicago and NYC because those cities are to fast pace for me... IMO!

Precisely. Atlanta has everything that you could need out of a city (okay, okay...minus a good public transportation system), without all the fast hustle and bustle of some of the more major metros like Chicago and NYC. That's the way I prefer it.

No. 100% not. This can be both positive and negative, depending on when (and whom) you ask.

I haven't seen another city in America that has as much energy and crowded rush as NYC. Chicago is busy but not like NYC.

Atlanta can get crazy hectic at times but most of the time is not too wild, even slow at times, which is fine with me. I like the mixture of fast and slow you get in Atlanta.

I would agree plus we don't get that bitter cold, but weather in the sunbelts states can be unpredictable.

On the freeways with 4 to 8 lanes of traffic going in each direction doing anywhere from 65 to 80 mph with a massive skyline in the background...yes!!!

Does Atlanta have the clogged streets filled with honking cars, cabs, busses, bikes mixed in with 100's (50 of them running scared of getting ran over) of pedestrians in the crosswalk on a Sunday afternoon in the downtown shopping district? (Like chicagos mag mile or gold coast). HELL NO!

Based on the response so far. People don't move there for that lifestyle.

I would say that the pace of Atlanta isn't very comparable to any city in America. Depending on where you are, the vibe can go from hectic to chill to slow (in the far out burbs). There isn't one way to sum it all up though. If you want to have any kind of "pace", it's attainable in all forms in any given day in Atlanta.
