Kasim Reed to Legislature: 'It's time for a cease-fire' | Political Insider

I just read this a bit ago. I truly hope that Reed becomes the great mayor that he sounds like he will be. I know that I wasn't a huge supporter of his, but I never thought him incapable. After these past few weeks, my expectations and opinions have risen for him. This speech, was a very well thought out, eloquent, and responsible statement to make. I really hope that he can spearhead a great turn around in our city, and state.

After reading that I wonder if Mayor Reed will parlay his time as mayor into running for the US Senate or Governor. Hmmmm.

This issue is really his chance to win me over. I don't remember Ms. Franklin ever vouching for MARTA in front of the Legislature.

He's off to a great start. Frankly, I'm not surprised at all. This guy "has a clue," imo.

Haha. I've said before, I always thought that the city of Atlanta was a stepping stone for him. As long the city reaps a benefit from that, I don't mind.

I agree. If he proves himself to be a great leader with the city's best interests at heart, he can go straight to the top as far as I'm concerned.

I voted for Norwood, but I am pretty impressed thus far. Go Reed.
