Is is true that there is always something to do for an African American young woman in Ga? Pls tell all.... What kind of different things can African Americans do there? Poetry, R&B, Churches, Jazz etc.? Thnks

There are SO MANY things to do here, geared to AA as well as everyone else. A lot of AA-geared events are sent out via this email newsletter called the "ATL LowDown". If you google it, you will find a link to the site so you can join.

For example, the events listing I received last week had an event for every day of the week. Without giving specifics, below is a small sampling of the events they had for just one week:
-Jazz Festival
-performance at a local playhouse
-performance at another local playhouse
-happy hour at a fine art gallery, featuring local artists
-comedy show performance
-performance at a local venue
-concerts
-club goings-on

And mind you now, that doesn't even include the regular weekly events.

I hope this gives you an idea of what goes on here!
