Default Stone Mountain

My family will soon move to Georgia and we need to find a reasonably priced area that is also a nice place to live.

I would go further north into Gwinnett.

Stone Mountain is where I will be working, We are considering Snellville and all areas that are not to far of a drive away. Thanks for your reply! I think Snellville is in Gwinnett.

It looks like the best way to start would probably be with a rental. We have 2 young sons so a good school system that is close would be great. We would prefer to rent a house that comes with either a garage or at least a storage shed due to the tools and equipment that comes with my profession. I am a Car Mechanic. The home would need to have a minimum of 3 bedrooms and hopefully a price that is close to 1000 a month. I will be able to carry over my work history because of the transfer and my wife is currently searching for a job in the area over the internet. She will most likely be working at a hospital that is close to the Stone Mountain area. Thanks for any help!!!

By "dome" they mean "mountain".

And there is the actual city of Stone Mountain which surrounds the actual mountain itself. At one time it was a pretty desireable place to live but in recent years it's gone downhill in many areas quite a bit and the realtors I know don't usually steer people that way.

As someone else confirmed, Snellville would be a better option.

Lilburn and Tucker would be other places to consider.

Default Stone Mountain

Keep in mind everyone, there are still a lot of decent/good/very good parts of Stone Mountain.

The "Stone Mountain" address area is huge...with many options.

Absolutely...the Stone Mountaineers must feel at least as maligned as we Decaturites do at times.
I've had family in the Smoke Rise area for years...they still love it there.
