You'll have to narrow it down a wee bit- maybe with a major and degree? There are dozens of colleges/universities represented here, and they all offer different programs.

Georgia State, Georgia Tech, and Emory all have good programs of one sort or the other. As fas as living costs it all depends on where you are coming from. I would not say that Atl is cheap.

Hint - to get more specific answers you need to ask more specific questions. Always do some research first and then ask more specific questions.

There is always a way to do it,

I agree more info is needed about what type of specific programs you are looking for and what you consider a high or low cost of living. Geogia State, Georgia Tech, and Emory are some of the biggest colleges here and are good institutions. There are also smaller colleges like Agnes Scott and the colleges/universities located in the Atlanta University Center (AUC) like Morehouse, Spelman, and Clark Atlanta University, which are historically black colleges or universities (HBCU). There are a lot of other schools in the area and it depends on what you are looking for whether or not you will be a good fit. I suggest doing some research online and look up Georgia colleges and universities to get a feel for which institutions interest you

This month's Atlanta magazine is all about colleges (love the cover featuring Georgia Tech students). It has a comprehensive directory of colleges.

LOL!!! I can tell you from personal experience that the only thing grueling about the place is dealing with the faculty and the administration which hasn't evolved in 30+ years. The facilities, support services and professors are second tier at best. The infrastructure is crumbling. I understand its significance in the HBC landscape, but it is built up to be something it currently isn't.

Spelman on the other hand, is top notch. There is a great track record of educational leadership and the difference between the faculty and staff of Spelman-Morehouse is night and day.
