As a resident of Smoke Rise, the area is quite beautiful. It is a Wonderful Bedroom Community next door to Tucker. Our community is separated from the Stone Mountain community by Highway 78 on the East and South. The Tucker community boarders Smoke Rise on the North and West. We travel to the Buckhead and Emory area regularly, even during rush hour traffic, no more than 30 minutes on a bad day (accidents anywhere in Metro will increase the trip). We have a business in Brookhaven and again travel time is good. If you have young children, there is an added plus. The Smoke Rise Elem. School has been granted Charterd Status and the County is building a new high school (Tucker). Our middle school is relatively (4yrs) old.

The area is well worth you consideration.

Yes, Smoke Rise is a fantastic area. And even though it has a Stone Mountain address...it is really a part of "Tucker."

Actually the US Postal Service approved the usage of SMOKE RISE as an acceptable city/state designation within zip code 30087. We are very excited to be able to distinquish our wonderfurl community from Stone Mountain.
