Hello All,

We are looking to buy some decent Picture Frames to decorate our house with our family potraits. Places we have tried have frames that are either not appealing and/or inappropriate-sizes (Walmart, Target, Ikea) otherwise too expensive ( Picture People etc - $79 per frame).

If it helps, we are interested in with or with out matted frame that can hold 10X12 picture and priced under $15 per frame. Is that too much to ask?

TIA

They can be hand-made easily (one lesson would do it). They would be cheaper and you would have exactly what you want. Also the satisfaction of accomplishment. Good luck!

Never done that and do not have any tools (and skills) to accomplish the task.

Thrift stores and garage sales. I've been collecting frames to put my printed photographs in for about 2 years now. Thrift stores almost always have one frame that I'll buy every time I go in (at least the ones I go to). I get lots of compliments. The only bad thing is you probably wont find exactly what you want the first time you go in, you'll have to keep going back like once a week or so. The good thing is you can get some really nice $50+ frames for <$5

Good idea.

Spray paint can often transform the wrong frame into exactly the right frame.

O, sorry. No time like the present.

The rest of the ideas here are good, though!
