Greetings all.

I will be finally visiting Atlanta for a long weekend and was wondering if anyone can give me some tips as to where to go and visit with my 2-year old. My wife and I will be taking him to the Braves game that Friday night. Saturday, my wife is attending a conference so it's my 2-year old son and me for most of the day. Is there anything around town that may be catered towards this age group? We will be taking him to the acquarium on Sunday. I have never been to Atlanta, and I would like a few ideas to have for that day Saturday since it will be just him and I.

Thanks in advance!

Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta and The World of Coca-Colaź - Atlanta, GA are both walkable from the Aquarium.

Will you have a car or do you want to stick to things downtown?

If he likes to look at animals, the zoo: Welcome to Zoo Atlanta . There are numerous natural habitat(ish) areas there and kid's stuff as well. Since the temps are going to drop this weekend to around 70 degrees, the animals will be out and moving more than they do when the temps are up like they have been the last few days.

The Botanical gardens probably will have some plants starting to bloom.
Atlanta Botanical Garden

Stone Mountain isn't to far (about 20 - 30 minute drive from downtown).

You could also try the Fernbank Museum/IMAX (Fernbank Museum of Natural History) or the Fernbank Science Center (Fernbank Science Center).

I've never been there, but I pass it all the time. It is the Center for Puppetry Arts. Here is the website for you to check out. It looks like it might fit the bill.

World of Coke is beside the Aquarium. Besides the bevy of coke products at the end there is a animated short before you head into the museum-ish part.
