Default Douglasville-chapel Hills Area-is It A Good Place To Raise Our Kids

We're very interested in moving to Douglasville, based on the research I've done, I can get a 4 bedroom home for around $240000.00 in the Chapel Hills area. Can anyone who lives in Atlanta give us some advice on the area, whats the weather like, are the schools good, will I find work there or will I commute to another area, (I work in the welfare system now and my husband is a plumber for the school district here) my daughter loves fastpictch softball, so hopefully there are some leagues around there. my son plays football and basketball but he's in high school so he can tryout for the school team. Overall would this area be a place you would recommend a family to live? I notice alot of threads are usually about either Gwinnet county or Cobb county, whats up with Douglas County? PLEASE SOMEONE REPLY. IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Douglas County schools are a bit behind some of the other metro counties but the Chapel Hills district is the best of Douglas if you ask me.

Cool Rethink the Chapel Hill area

The Chapel Hill Area used to be a great area however, the school district there has digressed a lot. Actually, the best schools scholastically
(?spelling????)and with lower drug and gang issues are not Chapel Hill Schools, but rather Winston or South Douglas Elementary, Fairplay Middle and Alexander HIgh School district area- check out CRCT/test stats for yourself
