rswindle, also there is new startup charter school that just will start in West Norcross (near technology park) this August. If you are not happy with Harris, you can always give that school a try. Unfortunately, the startup charter school only goes from K-3 first year and will add one grade each year after that. But eventually, that charter school will go from K-8.

Well, from that exchange, I'd say that Harris is not to be discarded from the list if we choose not to have the kids in private school due to the finances. Thanks a lot!!!!!!! I apprieciate all the posts.

Cordially,

maroule

Don't know if you got infos you need already.

Anyway, I find a cool web

Bright from the Start - Home (broken link)

There is afterr school program called PRIME TIME - B B HARRIS ELEMENTARY which may located in the school itself.

Also, just read something about that startup school. They already enrolled 230 kids for K-3 for this fall when initially they only expected enrolling around 150 kids. I wonder how that school will affect BB Harris, berkeley lake elementary and other schools in the West Norcross/Berkeley Lake/Duluth neighborhood in the future if the best and brightest kids go to that charter school.

Didn't go to B.B. Harris myself, but many of my friends did and had a great time there. Don't know how much has changed in the seven or so years since they've been there, but the fact that it is such a small school adds to the one-on-one attention students can get from teachers and the close-knit environment.
