Hello All,
I am a 27 yr old single woman, relocating July 15 to the buck head area. I was looking to rent in the 30326 or 30319 zip codes due to the location of my job (2180 lake blvd 30319). How are these areas? Crime and convenience? I am willing to pay up to $1000 for a one bed room. I would like to live among other young professionals in a great complex, well maintained, courteous staff, safe and quiet. Any suggestions?

Then you will probably be working in the same building as my husband. He works for AT&T in Buckhead.
Sorry I can't help you on what areas to look at as far as renting. We are still trying to sell our home in Byron so we can get moved closer to his office...

sorry, never mind, he is at Lindbergh (Morosgo)

Both those zip codes are fore the most part fine to live in. 30326 is a very small zip code consisting of the heart of the Buckhead business district. You aren't going to find any apartment complexes in it, only buildings. I think it will be hard to find something in your price range along there. Some areas along Buford Hwy in 30319 but the rest of zip code is very nice. You could also look at 30324 along Lenox Road, north of I-85. There are many very nice communities along there that would be a short distance from your work. Traffic in this area can be horrendous so you are going to want to live as close to work as possible. There is lots of shopping and entertainment around Buckhead, the only problem is sometimes it is tough to get to because of the traffic.

You might want to look up Post Properties. They have nice, upscale apartments full of singles.

It looks like you will be working in Lenox Park. Lenox Park has is a small office park with several very nice apartmentcomplexes right on the property. (Berkshires at Lenox, Gables and more) It also has several office buildings, high-end homes (The Village at Lenox Park) and a beautiful lake and park with walking trails. Lots of young singles from the apartments walk their dogs and jog around the lake. (It used to be the site of a golf course, The Standard Club) It has a shuttle service to Lenox Mall and the buckhead area "the BUC". I do not know rents here, but there are several complexes, so you can check. If you live here you will save on commuting costs, not to mention commuting time, so take that into consideration. Here is a link that might help.
