Conyers isn't exactly a retirement type of community to me, if I were you I would look at Reynold's Plantation on Lake Oconee, it is far better than any retirement community than Conyers can offer, it is a lot further away from Atlanta but Athens isn't that far if you need entertainment options, and Conyers is suburban in nature with some nice areas, the traffic isn't something to be desired, it has become majority middle class african american, it has most of the national chain restaurant and stores except K-mart but one is nearby in Covington if you actually like K-mart, the school system is average not bad but better than a lot of systems in the state, North Rockdale around the horsepark and going into the Oxford area has georgious homes and is a beautiful area.
