Looking to purchase mattress/boxspring and wondering if anyone has any comments regarding local outlets, Original Mattress Factory, in particular.
Thanks!

I got a mattress from them (Original Mattress Factory) last year. Excellent price, excellent quality, IMO. I'd definitely recommend you check them out and see if they have what you want.

I checked out a few local vendors along 92 (we're near you, roxyrn), and eventually purchased from OMF, last year. We've been happy with our choice.

Have had an Original Mattress Factory mattress since 1996 and it has held up extremely well -- one purchase I've never regretted. And from having a sister-in-law who used to sell furniture, including mattresses, for one of the major furniture store chains, I know that there's tons of misinformation and borderline shady practices with the major brands. When we do need another mattress, I'm sure we'll go straight to OMF and not bother with anyplace else.

Thanks for the input. Consumer Reports had ranked OMF behind Temperpedic (which I did not want) but several online sites had bad, even horrible reviews so I was a little leary.

That said, purchased a mattress set for a reasonable price at OMF and should have it tomorrow.

We bought from OMF in 2007 and couldn't be happier. Of course they're rated behind Temperpedic, but Temperpedic also costs 3-5x as much as a decent normal mattress.

We bought a high end Vera Wang model mattress from HHGregg. Didn't even know they sold mattresses.
Best part was they negotiated the price way down. Manager said throw out a number and I said a price 800 below the sale price and he said done.

Fast and cheap delivery.

All the big ticket items at HHGregg have discounts that the salesperson can use.

OMF is awesome. I highly recommend them. Their prices are very reasonable given the quality.
