Hello, I have an 2008 Audi Q7 and it just stopped working. I sent it to the dealership and found out it's the EMC and they are charging $2300 just to start it. How much is an ECM and can I do it myself?

How did the emc die?

did you have a tune?

I would cheap local indy shops they using due tunes and know all about emc and can give you better advice. I wouldnt suggest diy

How many ecm have you replaced? how'd you do the coding i'd be very interested to know

I would think you would need the Ross Tech VCDS in order to properly set everything up.

What is the reason your ECM died? Need more details.

I never did an ECM that had to 'flashed' at the dealer.
