Yeah, I noticed they removed the Bass Pro sign and put up a Costco one, didn't notice that the MGHerring name was removed though, interesting...

Thanks Magician, I have to go check out the new signs... The MGHerring Group and the city of Augusta announced the Costco store on October 28th, 2010...

Mullins may be helping with the power center portion... The VAR is supposed to be a half lifestyle center and half power center development.... 100 acres is definitely big enough for both....

Did they open the gate yet? I trying to figure out what's the main entrance to the development.. The gate off Riverwatch pkwy or somewhere near the Comcast and Delta Airlines buildings.

Nope, and I think the main entrance is going to be where the sign is at.

I would like a Sweet Tomatoes (called Souplantation in CA), and a Panda Express.

Wasn't Mullins the local developer who was 'overseeing' the project for MGHerring since they are all the way out in Texas?

I didn't know that EastsideDave and nortonguy. Thanks for the info.------ If Bass Pro locates to WTP, and Costco is built at VAR, than everything that Augusta has to offer will be accessible or seen from that stretch of I-20 between those two sites?

I forsee the traffic on I-20 between Village at Riverwatch, Wheeler Town Park, and Augusta Exchange becoming a major headache.......

But downtown, Augusta mall, or the Surrey Center won't be seen from I-20..... There's room to continuing expaning at the mall and Surrey Center. Officials wanted to build a hotel on the Augusta mall property a while back..... There's still alot of unused parking spaces near the Toys R US.....

Rode down Riverwatch parkway today and notice the sign. The date reads opening in 2011 instead of the old 2009 sign.
