I have lived in downtown for close to five years now. I was wondering if there is some sort of downtown residents association? I know olde towne and the harrisburg communities have them, but technically I don't live in either of those neighborhoods. I don't have next door neighbors that aren't businesses and the closest residential homes are apartment houses that seem to be occupied only by ghosts! I never see any one coming or going from them, but I'm sure they're rented.

I'm curious. Where in downtown do you live? The only condos I know of are over the old Fort Discovery. Then there are some rental apartment along Broad Street. Are there other residential options in the historic downtown?

There were 17 previous condos and 34 were recently completed in the Whites Building.. A few condos are inside of the Emporium on Broad street too. Several rentals along Broad, Greene, Telfair, 12th, 11th, 10th, etc..

Some of the larger places to live include the Enterprise Mill, Whites Building, Emporium, Granite Mill, Port Royal(Fort Discovery), Levy House, Stovall Barnes House, Claussen building, Sibley Hull House, Jernigan building, Metro Coffee house, and Cobb House...

Last time I looked, all of the condos on Broad were rental units. Are any of them for sale?
