1. A Civic Park is proposed for the GGHF site(depending on North Augusta)... The location is next to the Riverwalk, and the Falls Park in Greenville attracts tons of people.
Falls Park, in Greenville, SC

2. The performing arts center(city undergoing $100 million arts campaign) is on the former Watermark site.

3. The mentioning of Artspace(renovated building more than likely), and the Nederlander organization under the Performing Arts Center investments.

The mayor and some of the commissioners spoke about the city's GRU expansion plans.

This is good stuff. It's great to see Augusta leveraging GRU's expansion for urban development, which is how it should be done. Incorporating the mills into the campus is a wonderful idea.

Great video, Kobe & Shaq didn't get along behind close doors but on the court you could not tell. They manage to put their different a side for the better of the organization to win 3 championship together. If they can do with the world watch we can do it here in a small town. If they can leave their egos at home and bring their best game we can become a dynasty.

It does helps when you probably have the most 'progressive' mayor in the entire state. I've heard some good things about the mayors of Columbus/Atlanta, but I don't hear about the same relationship with the Governor/Chancellor/Board of Regents compared to Deke.

Hopefully Dr. Azziz can now play nice, and share the 17 acre riverfront property(GGHF site). I don't think GRU/MCG foundation will need to have the Medical District, ASU main/athletic campuses, land around Harrisburg/Kroger, Kroger shopping center, old Fatmans property, Mills campus, Downtown campus, and then 17 acres of prime real estate on the Savannah river.

I'm just excited about this project because it's going to definitely change downtown. The stronger we can make our downtown, the better for the region as a whole. Also if we can keep more of our kids going to college here in Augusta, that will help our population numbers greatly as a great deal of students who go away for college end up staying away from their hometown.

The city's expansion plans could do more in terms of revitalizing Harrisburg compared to the CBD.
