The Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center was named one of the best hotels/resorts in the south for meetings(based on the readers of Meeting Focus), and only three properties in Georgia made the list(Hyatt Regency/Grand Hyatt in Atlanta).

Having the convention center attached to the hotel was definitely a positive move and gives Augusta an advantage in landing meetings.

I definitely agree, because the hotel already had their own existing meeting space..

The proposed Hyatt is directly across the street from the TEE Center, and should only help in terms of attracting larger groups.

Hopefully the city will hurry up and begin construction on the skywalk between the TEE Center and parking deck on Reynolds street.

While I don't disagree exactly, that "article" is a press release from the hotel itself, so I wouldn't exactly put the salt in that one that I would with the other one listing the award.
