Chick Fil A should become the first new business to break ground in the Windsor Square shopping center(other tenants include Krispy Kreme). The new amenities(Hibbett Sports, Five Guys, Dunkin Donuts, Firehouse Subs, Chick Fil A, and Krispy Kreme) and future changes along Peach Orchard will create the southside version of Washington road..

Glad to see some new growth in South Augusta. Since Augusta is expanding, it must grow all areas in a positive manner! Now if they would just do something with the Regency Mall!

Have they announced a groundbreaking day? I noticed the SRP ATM machine has been bulldozed already so it should be sometime soon.

I don't see a movie theatre coming back to this side of town until another major shopping center gets built. I think the Windsor Square redevelopment is just the beginning. We will probably start hearing about more stores (Target?) coming to South Augusta, then I think a movie theatre won't be too far behind.

South Augusta is lacking in the entertainment department..... Movie theatre, laser tag & go carts, bowling alley, arts center, ice rink, indoor rock climbing etc...
