Ironically I just left a nice outlet center in Orlando. Even though it was outdoors it, had pavilions covering most of the walkways similar to an indoor mall to protect you from the elements. Hopefully ours will have the same.

I can't wait to see the renderings for the mall. I hope Tanger has nothing to do with it, because from my experience, Tanger outlets(excluding a few) are usually very generic and have bland designs, like the Tanger Outlets Savannah.

What are you talking about? The Tangler Mall in Savannah is going to be much nicer than the usual Tanger center, including the ones in nearby Bluffton, which are basically just gloried strip centers.

I never said that it wouldn't be nice, just that the design is very bland and generic looking. It definitely looks better than the ones that look like strip malls, but I have been to several with better designs.

I agree, even though that was probably sarcasm. Some parts of Georgia do need more malls.

The outlet mall is only 400,000 square feet.....

The majority of the development(Costco, Cabela's, movie theater, and 400,000 square feet) is related to something else..

They're expecting the outlet mall to attract people from 70 miles away which includes many parts of South Carolina(metro Columbia)..

I stopped at the St. Johns Town Center that Ben Carter developed in Jacksonville on my way home from Orlando and I was impressed with the development. Even though they are developing an outlet center here, hopefully it will look just as nice.

So much for the outlet mall... Its been scrapped. Couldnt attract the necessary anchor tenants to the development.
