Just curious.. Once the Canal gets past 13th Street where it narrows considerably.. does it have a real function other than say drainage or is it it still providing a source of water for some of the uses that are along it?

I don't know what direction you mean after crossing 13th, but it's used for power too.

Little Augusta is growing up before our eyes.. Opening May 2015 and renting between $900/$1400. It's exciting to see the areas surrounding the CBD become live, work, and play areas(Olde Town, Laney Walker, Harrisburg, Medical District, and Summerville).

The Medical District has the most potential. The residents of Summerville don't want a lot of commercial or taller structures. Both Harrisburg and Laney Walker are still in the transition mode.

Commercial projects coming near the Medical District.
1. GRU Gateway(grocery store, stores, hotel or theater, restaurants)
2. Dunkin Donuts and Which Wich at 1638/1640 Walton Way
3. Diablo's Southwest Grill, Integrity Medical, etc at 1022 Walton Way

It's a good sign when you have both urban infill(Canalside) on Walton Way and the renovation of historic buildings(Lowery Wagon) on 9th street/Ellis under construction...

Truly stunning and fits in the urban fabric so well. Augusta should see tons of projects just like this in the near future.

Very nice. It reminds me of a few developments in Atlanta.
