Hi All,

I'll be moving to Augusta GA next month because of a new job. Which places do you recommend base on safety and proximity to the DSM chemical plant. I'm thinking on buying a house.

If it's the same company I'm thinking about, DSM is right at the Grovetown limits so that would be a good community to live in. Also the West Augusta area nearby would be as well. The Grovetown area is experiencing a lot of growth so you should be able to find a home in almost any price range.

He/She talking about DSM chemical plant on Columbia Nitrogen @ Laney walker it's right off exit 16@ I520 would be a reasonable drive from anywhere in the metro 15 minutes or less from anywhere inside the I20/I520 perimeter including areas of N.Augusta, Summerville, W.Augusta , 30 minutes or less for areas outside which include the cities of Hephzibah, Grovetown, Aiken, and Graniteville all have nice safe areas and would put you relatively close to your employer. Would you prefer living in Ga or Sc, do you have school age children, home pricing, taxes both property and income vary between the states school rankings vary also over all DSM's chemical plant is centrally located.

Thanks for clearing that up , I wasn't sure. You're right with that being right off of 520 and close to the middle of the metro area, you could virtually live about anywhere and have a reasonable commute.
