Paine College made a major announcement during its 16th annual Presidential Scholarship Gala & Masked Ball tonight.

President Jerry Hardee says that the school learned today that a judge overturned the Southern Association of Colleges and School ruling reinstating the school to accreditation status.

In October the school was granted candidacy status through the Trans-National Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.

This means the historically black college has all the rights and privileges of a fully-accredited institution.
President Hardee says as of right now, Paine is accrediated through both governing bodies.

Man, a little proper grammar would go a long way with these local TV stations. "overturned the ... ruling reinstating the school". Missing a VERY important comma between 'ruling' and 'reinstating' that changes the entire meaning of the story.
