Augusta' well paid and highly competent, full time administrator has put in a lot of time and effort preparing the 2016 budget that covers all needs plus a bit of a pay raise for the hard working full time employees that doesn't require a tax increase. She presents it to the part time commissioners but now they want to have two workshops to see how they can find ways to muck it up so we will all pay more taxes.
If the part time commissioners can't accept the budget as planned by the full time administrator, perhaps they should vote to abolish the administrators position and handle it themselves. It seems counter productive to spend time and money attacking this well planned budget.
The commissioners seem to forget that any tax increase necessitated by them will also affect their wallets. Please get on with other business and tie up loose ends where loose ends need to be tied up and let the administrator get on with her duties so Richmond County's government won't look totally incompetent.

Seems logical to not fix something if it isn' broken. Too much time on a person's hands can make them do things like this.
