Default Augusta Nightlife

Hey all, new in town and was just wondering what the best nightclubs are in Augusta.

I especially enjoy the part restaurant part club venues (the ones that "transform" into the club late at night) if there are any here.

I'm a young guy (21) so keep that in mind.

Also, apart from the clubs, where are some good places to meet people in their late teens, early 20s (apart from say the mall)

Thanks!

Cafe 1201 seems to fit the description you provided.. it is located downtown at 1201 Broad St.
There is the Soul Bar.. which is a twenty something hangout.. which is a bar where bands play on a regular basis.. The Stillwater Tap Room is a decent pub..
All of these places are downtown on Broad Street. That's about all that I know of.
Be forewarned.. Augusta is no Atlanta or Athens.. but the nighlife options have improved over the last few years and downtown seems to be slowly developing into a nightlife destination.

Try going to the Metro Spirit online

Metro Spirit, Augusta, Georgia

There may be listings of different downtown venues.

You definitley need to check out Modjeska downtown. I've been to Augusta for two years going to ASU and this is a hot spot. I also enjoy coconuts. Somewhere in Augusta and INdigo JOes are nice spots too.

I love Modjeska because it's a more diverse crowd. On Thursdays they have all you can drink but normally costs 15 to 20 to get in that night. Also check out First Friday. You will definitley meet a lot of people there.

The view, cream, cafe 209, Modjeska, coyotes, spaceship, indigo joes, surrey center.

First Friday is this friday and then next friday again for the masters. You can just go downtown and find something to get into.

Have you people lost it? Cerebrus-- everyone here has neglected to mention the Nightclub in Augusta that citizens have voted "Best Nightclub in Augusta" the past 3 (yes, I said THREE) years in a row. The Country Club has been, by far, the most happenin' place to go in Augusta since they opened a few years ago. If you haven't stumbled in there yet, do yourself a favor, and try it out. It's not the emo-listic, hate-my-parents-wanna-kill-myself kind of scene that downtown is.. but if you aren't into that sort of thing, and prefer an upbeat, hoppin', club environment, The Country Club will do you justice. They have live music every night they're open (country/rock bands) then their DJ comes on for the rest of the night and plays the stuff that gets the girls dancin'... if you're like me, you love that part. They usually charge a cover, but you're paying for the atmosphere, by far- and for those hot servers, and hot customers, five bucks ain't much, dude!! Try it out- I know you'll be a regular, like the rest of us.

Lol. While I do agree there are some emo clubs downtown. Majority of the nightlife crowd downtown is young professionals and diverse. There is Pure, Tropicabana, Soul Bar, Sky City, The Zone, Stillwater, Jazz Lounge, etc downtown.

I despise the Country Club. Always slam packed with lousy bands and they always have a cover charge. Beers are overpriced compared to the area as well. They have a disgusting "smoking chamber".

If low rate "pop country" bands, waiting for 5 minutes to get a $3.50 Bud Light, and bumping shoulders trying to get back to your table (if you find one) is your thing...go for it.

Oh, watching people line dance can be funny though haha.
