This group started as a way to bring business to South Augusta. On Monday they officially expanded to the whole city.

"Georgia is kind of set up to have a lot of cooks in the kitchen, the key thing is they're all working together," Georgia State Senator Harold Jones said.

Now that they know the need, it's about finding a direction.

"We need a really clear and concise economic vision. Without that, we will have some success, but the long term economic success won't happen," Mayor Hardie Davis said.

"Absolutely it's a key, if you don't have a vision than where are you going? We are going to get together and we are going to plan that vision," Commissioner Sias said.

That vision will be pulling from one's we've seen before like Westobou, Downtown Development Plans, and Augusta Tomorrow.

"We have a lot of plans that we've spent a lot of resources on, but now someone has to implement, someone has to lead that charge," Mayor Davis said.

They mayor says there's a dire need for new business, but we also need to keep what is already here.

"We've got to let them know as a city we are open for business and we are looking at opportunities to partner with them," he said.

The first step to making all of it happen is putting turf wars aside and coming together to work for all of Augusta.

"If we can bring all of those together, then we can make one big comprehensive picture for Augusta," Commissioner Sias said.
