I would wholeheartedly support a candidate who would keep a campaign promise to fight to reduce Augusta's ever growing budget. Our city manager has failed to keep the budget in hand and keeps asking for more money. She seems to think it's ok to balance her budget on the backs of the taxpayers. When I visit the municipal building one can't help but wonder why there are so many employees in the break areas and rest rooms wasting time. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Let's get rid of the ones who sit at desks all day and raise the pay of the few that actually work for the people of Richmond County. This can definitely be accomplished without raising the budget again.
