Approximately 120 to 150 jobs could be coming to the Aiken, Edgefield area.

According to Will Williams, President and CEO of Aiken, Edgefield Development Partnership, Project Apollo is BAE Systems Land and Armament, which already has a location in Aiken County.

Council is set to vote Tuesday night on the fee in lieu of tax agreements with hopes that BAE will expand their operations in the county. This means nothing is final yet with an expansion.

The expansion would be approximately 120 to 150 jobs and would cost around $8.47 million over 5 years.

BAE currently employs 90 people in Aiken County and develop combat vehicle components, Navy weaponry machined components, launch system structures, aerial systems launcher rails.
