Just moved here... what are some good places to hang out/meet people? I'm a very outgoing/extroverted person and I just want to make some friends/connections.

Well, depending on what you like and you seem to be a typical young adult and guessing on the things that my 20 yr old daughter likes. Wild Wings off Washington Rd is a fav hot spot for young adults. Its one of those restraunts type that have bands after 10 and a bar, etc.

The downtown area off Broad St has A LOT of new venues. The Pizza Joint is popular there is a Pizza Joint in Evans to that has a large bar with tvs and such. Lots of young adults there as well. And of course with it becoming warmer. There is the lake. I am not sure about Lake Springs anymore, in my day it was the place to go and I lived up there! Now I think its more Wildwood Park and Mistletoe State Park. Everything is pretty much on Washington Rd or Broad St. Good luck and have fun!

Go to the Country Club. Probably one of the most lively places in augusta. Its in the shopping center behind hooters on washington road.

Check out the Quest Church in Evans. It's full of young folks who go out together and meet at each others' homes for fellowship.

The shooting happen at the club for teens called platinum further down. They both are just in the same center that's all. Cream is a upscale club for grownups. The age is 25 and up and you have to wear a collar shirt. The shooting took place from teens who go to the teen club further down. Every major city in america has had a shooting before.
