Question Does anyone have information on the Augusta area?

Hi Everyone... I know this forum is for the Atlanta area, but hopefully some people from the east side are involved. I need to find information out about the Augusta area. The same info, schools, suburbs, weather. I appreciate any input.

Is it far enough away from Atlanta that is could be a smaller town appeal? Thanks for your help!

Augusta is pretty much a suburban place... there has been a substantial effort made to revitalize downtown (with some limited success).. but still the vast majority of people and businesses are located in The Suburbs, especially West Augusta and Columbia County up Washington Rd. I would not say Augusta has a small town feel at all. North Augusta, SC and Aiken, SC has that sort of feel.. so you might want to consider those towns. Thomson, GA is an attractive small town about 35 minutes from Augusta.
