Default Coming to Augusta

Me and my family are making are move to augusta, ga. I have found a job and will be relocating there because of this. We will be moving later on this year sometime. Our budget is about 200k. What are the nice neighborhoods or areas in augusta. And what are the nice cities in augusta or outside of the augusta. Something less than 35 mins to downtown would be nice. Since that's where i will be working when i move.

Well, you have covered the major hurdle for moving to Augusta; you have a job and seems the finances to go along with it. You will be happy here!

My suggestion is to find a realtor and communicate your desires to him/her. I have always been an advocate of neighborhoods in the proximity of Patriots Park in Columbia County. This is due to the fact that you can hit any store/restaurant for any need within 10 mins or less; Wal-Mart, Target etc. It is also close to Clark Hill (Strom Thurmond Lake); a good picnic/camp site. Again, this depends on your likes/dislikes.

I don't know much about SC neighborhoods so I can't comment.

I like Hephbizah in Richmond County but when you get into the nicer areas, it also means that you are further away from the everyday conveniences.

Your thread is new. Mine is just a single opinion. There are other folks on this site that will be able to provide you with a better insight to the area.
I am not an advocate of any particular real estate site but the following was pulled from Meybohm. If you hit their site you can also see SC neighborhoods.
