Hello, I will be relocating to Augusta at the end of May and will be working downtown. I'm looking for a condo or loft in a nice area downtown. I would like to be in walking distance to broad street if possible. I would appreciate any help that can be provided. Thanks!

Whites's building. Stores and resturants, private parking, private elevator access, and own security

For apartments, the Cobb House and Broad Street Apartments are nice (Cobb House is more centrally located). I know there are others around though too.

well for condos... the whites building and Riverplace are about all there is.. (not sure when the units in whites bldg will be finished). Most of the larger apt bldgs in downtown tend to be on the low rent scale.... Richmond Summit, Maxwell House, etc. Cobb House is fairly nice and Enterprise Mill is extremely nice but a bit of a hike to Broad St (but not too bad).. but is closer to the hospitals. The main problem in that area though is decent grocery shopping.. There is a Kroger on 15th st.. but as someone said in a previous posting, it's not a place you really want to visit at night.. The better grocery stores are going to be out in West Augusta off Washington Rd. You will need a car or reliable personal transportation in Augusta.

About 50 or 60 condos of the 100 total for the whites building are already finished.

There are also numerous lofts over the shops/store fronts along Broad and some of the other streets downtown. Just do a google search and you'll see what some of the options are...

There are several buildings downtown in the last two years that have been converted into residential. Or about too
