Where in Augusta? The stalled Village at Riverwatch development? Everybody knows Greenville and Columbia are growing faster than Augusta. Greenville County gained more people last year than any other county in the state. The only reason Augusta is ranked that high is because of their road improvement projects.

The article is about new construction in 2007 not on the census. It was done by a construction magazine. Where were columbia, greenville, and charleston on the list?

Like I said, the only reason Augusta was ranked that high is because of their road improvement projects. The article said construction in terms of money amount, not how much stuff is getting built overall. If you got a nuclear power plant built that cost a billion dollars, you would be ranked high on that list too even if it's the only thing getting built in your city.

If you're roads weren't crappy you wouldn't be on it. We upgraded years ago. Our interstates are 6 lanes and 8 in some spots. Where is you ICAR? Where is you hotel development? Where is your Verdae? Where is you lifestyle center? Where is you 16,000 seat arena? Where is your vibrant downtown? I can go on. You're drawing at straws now.

Road improvement projects. Augusta is NOT growing faster than Raleigh, Tampa, or Jacksonville. Any normal person would know that.
