That was what was originally planned by the developers over 3 years ago.. things have changed drastically. As you know, the project has been at a standstill.. The Augusta Mall beat them to the punch and snaged many of the tenants they were courting. That through a big wrench into their plans. No one knows how big it will be now..and since the announcement, high end retail has been hit hard (and they said this was supposed to feature high end retail)..

The Largest in Georgia, you might need to check your sources, Because it might be a large 860,000 SQ ft. But Macon has huge project called " providence Macon" http://providencemacon.com/index.html which includes the mixed use project below, Village commercial park with ( Specialty Shops , Eateries, Professional Offices, Hotels,a Amphitheater and a Lake ) http://providencemacon.com/commercial.htmland huge residential village http://providencemacon.com/residential.html...
This map shows some of the huge projects in North Macon but the providence project is the one all surrounded in yellow and broken into several phases.... It also shows the Shoppes at River crossing ( New open air mall) at the top left in red. All the New projects are surrounded with the colorful boundaries which are new development either completed by now or still under construction with their 1st or 2nd phases.......

It so funny how you guys will make comments that Augusta and etc. has largest projects in Ga and don't have nothing to support it.... like it the only city in Ga with huge projects......Man y'all need to stop the ridiculous exaggerations......Like some body said earlier VAR is 900,000 sq ft and its site clearly states 860,000 sq ft, yall are so funny.....................lol

Those Pictures look like Pentagon Row in Arlington, VA... maybe the same developer.. certainly looks biger than the pictures I've seen of the Villages at Riverwatch. I think we will have a base on the moon before that thing ever gets built.

That's nothing Yerocal. Take a bite out of this: Greenberg Farrow 4,500,000 square feet.
You think that's large. You haven't seen anything yet. Located on 1,100 acres in Greenville, SC the Verdae master plan calls for construction of nearly 4,700 homes, 1.7 million square feet of shopping and up to 1.75 million square feet of office space over 25 years. It will have a total value of $1.5 billion when complete. Under construction now are a 128-home subdivision, a 54-home subdivision, a $100 million community for seniors and a medical office building. In the works currently are an apartment complex and hospitality project. http://www.verdaedevelopment.com/

So does every other city. The key word is "smaller." We have several large senior living centers already built or under construction. This is just one of them. What kind of highrises are proposed for downtown Macon? Should I show you Greenville's?
