Where would be the best place to live . For a 25 year old single male moving to the area. I was thinking about somewhere downtown. Augusta seems to have alot of activities going on down there. To keep me occupied. What do you guys think about downtown, or name some other areas.

Yeah, downtown would be the best. It's not expensive to live there either. If you can't find any apartments there, Olde Towne is filling in with more young professionals too.

Downtown has alot of young professionals moving in. Get a loft/apartment on broad street somewhere. Enterprise mill has some too. But with Olde Towne can't go wrong either.

What's good is a alot of young professionals are moving downtown and they make up every race.

You can join her as more younger people are moving downtown

When Emily Carder returned to Augusta from UGA after graduate school in 2003, she wanted to move downtown but couldn't find a place. She rented an apartment in Columbia County, but she wanted to be able to walk downtown to the market to get fresh vegetables, to meet friends for dinner or drinks, or to listen to music.

Living in a downtown loft has enhanced her enjoyment of events such as First Fridays and parades.

Downtown is definitely going through a upswing for the better. Can't wait to see what it looks like in 2 , 3 years.

The james brown townhome village I think is about to open up. You should definitely give those a look. There have been several empty buildings that have been converted into loft apartments. You just have do to some research and looking.
