Default Real Estate in Augusta

I am trying to research the Augusta area. Can you tell me a little about the real market in there? Also I'm curious about the different residential areas of Augusta. What are some of the best areas to live? What do people there seem to be looking for in homes there..are there any particular trends? Thank you!

If you don't mind a small commute try City of Aiken Home: City of Aiken, South Carolina , we offer good schools low crime , and a pretty good housing market.

cay1982,the answer to your questions would depend on what your interests and particular needs are for housing, such as,Are you looking to rent or buy, have school age children, and if you would rather live out in a more rural area as opposed to living right in town.Generally speaking, there are two areas that are considered pretty nice neighborhoods as far as safety goes with nice homes. They are,West Augusta,an area along Washington Road,(main business district in Augusta)with tons of grocery stores, resturants, retail stores, etc. This area runs from "uptown Augusta",all the way into the Columbia County, area where you have Martinez, and Evans, both rural areas, just outside Augusta.Another area, well worth your time looking into is the "Summerville Area"located on Walton Way,really (Walton Way Ext)There are some very nice homes in this area and it is both clean and safe to live in.Also, you are very near a big shopping area on Robert Daniel Parkway.with Target,Best Buy,and several resturants. Both of these areas are considered very nice places to live and depending on exactly where you move, they are about a 15-30 minute commute to the downtown area.I hope this helps you out and if you have any futher questions, let me know.
