Default Judicial Center Downtown

The judicial center starts construction next month. Anybody know how many floors it will be? It was supposed to be 18 at one time. Im guessing 7-10 now. James Brown boulevard will be very nice in the future. The judicial center, jb townhomes, shopping center, new homes, and the new library.

More like 4-5 floors. Is there really a shopping center going up near JamesBrown?

What recently has been scaled back beside the Judicial Center? The Tee Center went from $20 million to $100 million. The price for the library has went up.

Also remember when some commissioners only wanted to give $5 million. In order to get the gilbert manor property. They decided on $10 million instead.

Well you have a $30 million Hyatt hotel. That will offer some height.

Par4him, the reasons why projects are scaled back in augusta is because of the "you can't get something for nothing" between the commissioners. If the 5 white commissioners want something, the black 5 are going to say " hey let's take some of that money and put it in some of the blighted(black) parts of Augusta." And if the 5 white don't go along with it what they want to build wont get built. That scenario goes for the other side too. But as you can see, now that there's a 6-4 majority, I'm going to say that most of the projects in Augusta will be properly funded.

Actually the total Tee center project went from $20 mill to $110 million.

People are moving to Olde Town all the time. The $100 million kroc center is under construction in Harrisburg. Along with Broad Mill Village and Martha Lester residential. That leaves Bethlehem and Laney Walker. It work out best in this situation. We got $37.5 on inner city redevelopment, tee center, and a Hyatt Hotel.

Places that were low-income before. Now will be upper middle/middle class tax base.

Drive around Laney walker today. There are already signs of change. New homes, neighborhoods, street lights, and sidewalks.
